Types of College Interviews
Alumni Interviews
Most common type. Conducted by local alumni volunteers. Generally informational rather than evaluative.
Admissions Office Interviews
Conducted by admissions staff, either on campus or virtually. May be more evaluative.
Evaluative vs. Informational
Some interviews are primarily for you to learn about the school (informational), while others factor into admissions decisions (evaluative). Treat all interviews seriously.
